President Aliyev is also listed among the expected participants of the NATO summit in Chicago on May 20-21. Mr. Aliyev was reported by the Azerbaijani press to plan a visit to DC as well during his US trip, where he would speak at think tank events, but the presidential administration did not respond to the inquiries about details of the visit and any meetings between the Azerbaijani President and the US officials. BAKU. May 3, 2012. According to Azerbaijani state news Agency “AzerTaj”, President Ilham Aliyev has arrived to the United States on May 2nd for a working visit. Mr. Aliyev will participate in the events related to the 20-year anniversary of Azerbaijan joining the United Nations and preside over the session of UN Security Council.
