BAKU. July 7, 2009: Press office of Azerbaijani President has disclosed some details of mutual visits of Azerbaijani and Armenian delegations on July 3.

Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian had said during the meeting with the Azeri peace delegation: “I always said Aghdam is not our land. I understand that, but I also know that Armenians will never agree to Garabagh being a part of Azerbaijan.”

President Ilham Aliyev said while receiving the Armenian delegation: “Independence of Mountainous Garabagh is the “red line”, which one cannot be overstepped. Azerbaijan will never agree to any decision, which envisages Garabagh’s separation now or after 100 years. The documents and proposals, which are currently under discussion, also do not envisage Garabagh’s separation.”

Involvement of Armenian and Azerbaijani communities of Mountainous Garabagh into the talks would have ruined negotiations. The negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan are enough, Aliyev said.

The press office also reported that the Armenian delegation has visited the Armenian church in Baku (Turan).
